Welcome from the Damselfly!
The Travelling Damselfly is a site belonging to me, Isabella Ferguson. This is my pen name so you won't find me in the phone book or anywhere else. I'm a dame who likes to travel, preferably as often as possible. If I had the choice luxury cruises on small ships to fascinating places with some history to them would be how I'd go. However since my meagre earnings don't allow such profligate spending I am forced to occasionally go on tour buses ("Don't forget to have your luggage outside your room by sparrow fart folks!"), occasional cruises in steerage (the old fashioned word for inside cabins in the bowels of the ship usually occupied by migrating persons) or drive myself about the place.
Here I publish various pieces of writing, art and notes about my travels. You are welcome to browse the site, add a comment if you find the content interesting or entertaining and there is a spot to put your comment in! However, as my sainted mother once said, "If you have nothing nice to say, please say nothing my dear!" It's a comment I took to heart after opening my mouth and upsetting the odd person, usually not intentionally, and getting a verbal bashing in return or a hurt look and a visit to coventry for a while.
Thank you for visiting.
